Springer Nature - No-Charge APCs (Read & Publish Agreement)

As of 2024 Weizmann Institute of Science, by the Consortia level has signed an agreement to publish open access to corresponding authors in selected journals with Springer without payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC), HYBRID titles only, starting on 1 January 2024.

Fully Open Access journals Nature Branded journals (Nature Nature Review, and Nature Research journals) and Embo Press journals are NOT included in this agreement.

We have a deposit account for the Fully Open Access journals, which gives a 15% discount. Click here for more info.

Articles submitted by eligible corresponding authors qualify for Open Access publishing under this agreement upon the date the article is accepted for publication.  

If you are a corresponding author, identify yourself as being affiliated with Weizmann by using your institutional affiliation (ideally with an ORCID -- contact the Library if you require assistance with an ORCID), including Weizmann's email address, when submitting your articles.

  1. חלק ה- Publish: • חוקרי המוסדות המשתתפים בהסכם יכולים לפרסם מאמרים ב- OA בכותרים היברידים של המו"ל, השייכים לחבילת Springer Nature Journals all Packages, ללא עלות. סעיף 2.1.11 בעמ' 19 מתאר רשימת הכותרים בהם ניתן לפרסם ב- OA.שימו לב: o פרסום ב- OA בכותרי Nature branded אינו נכלל בהסכם. o כותרי GOLD (Fully Open Access ) אינם נכללים בהסכם. o כותרים שיעברו מסטטוס היברידי לסטטוס GOLD (flipping titles) במהלך תקופת ההסכם, נכללים בהסדר והחוקרים שלנו יוכלו לפרסם בהם ללא עלות. o רשימת הכותרים בהם ניתן לפרסם ב- OA מופיעה בהסכם בעמ' 84 (Schedule 3: Springer Hybrid Journals). • מכסת הפרסומים של כל מוסד נקבעה לפי החלק היחסי של העלות ההיסטורית של Springer Nature Journals all Packages . העלות ומכסת הפרסומים לכל מוסד מפורטת ב- Appendix 1 , עמ' 136. • החל מה- 15.1.2024, מאמרים שיתקבלו לפרסום בכותרים ההיברידים של המו"ל המפורטים לעיל, יכללו בהסדר. • לכל אוניברסיטה יוקם חשבון מרכזי לניהול הפרסומים בפלטפורמה ייעודית של המו"ל.
