Common Questions About Your Weizmann PhD Thesis Record
Answer
Q: How can I add an Abstract and/or Keywords to my Weizmann PhD thesis record?
A: The Library receives basic metadata and the PDFs from the Graduate School. The Library does not receive an abstract or keywords in a loadable format, but these can be added to the record, if provided by the graduate.
It is recommended that the abstract be no longer than 1 long to 3 brief paragraphs.
In order to be certain that the correct thesis is being updated, either the DOI or the title + author name are required.
Q: Does Weizmann Institute provide printed copies of graduate theses?
There is no such service at the Institute. The Library provides only an open access digital copy.
Weizmann loads its dissertations to the ProQuest Dissertation database and ProQuest has a program to offer dissertation authors (or alumni) the ability to purchase a print hardbound or softbound copy of their work. ProQuest is able to make available to authors commemorative print copies at a discounted price. The ETDs are printed in color, with elegant archival quality black covers and embossed gold titles. See attached flyer. Contact ProQuest for more information.
