How can I borrow a book from the Library?
Answer
Books can be borrowed 24/7 via the library’s self-checkout system ("self-check"). The self-check workstations are located near the entrance/exist in every Library and are accessible to any patron with a valid employee or student card.
To borrow a book using self-check:
- Scan your card or enter your Weizmann username in the text box
** If you do not have a Weizmann card or username or if your card does not work, you cannot use self-check to borrow a book. Please hand-write your details on the book card (found in a pocket at the back of the book) and leave it at the self-check workstation.
- Scan or type the barcode of the book you want to borrow. The barcode can be found inside of the front cover.
- The loan is complete once a line confirming the loan appears.
If you want to borrow more than 1 book, enter the barcode of another item now and it will be added to the session.
After you finish, end the session by clicking on the End Session button.
If, for any reason, the loan process did not succeed, please hand-write your details on the book card (found in a pocket at the back of the book) and leave it at the self-check workstation.
