How to solve importing problems from Google Scholar to Endnote X9

Since I upgraded to X9, in some imports from Google scholar, the delimiter between authors and journal is misinterpreted, leading to the journal name appended to the last author and the journal field remaining blank.

Answer

In order to solve this issue, you need to replace the current EndNote Import filter with the one from Endnote's website:

1. Go to: https://endnote.com/wp-content/uploads/plugins/filters/EndNote%20Import.enf

2. Double-click on the downloaded file to open it.

3. Click the File menu in EndNote and select Save As.

4. Be sure to save it with same name (“EndNote Import”) then Click Save then Close the window.

5. You can now delete the file that was downloaded a copy has been added to EndNote.

6. You can now try to import references into the library again.
