What is included in the Weizmann Research Publications Database (WIS Works)?

Answer

Content in the Weizmann Research Publications Database (WRPD) is currently updated automatically

  • from Web of Science (WoS)
  • content from the past 2 years
  • for Weizmann-affiliated authors

The following may not be in WoS or the WRPD:

  • Submitted, unpublished articles
  • Symposia proceedings articles  are typically not added to the WRPD automatically because these do not appear in most indexes and usually do not have a DOI, making it difficult to link to the full article
  • Book chapters and books, like proceedings, are not automatically included in the WRPD unless they appear in WoS (recently WoS has begun including book chapters)
  • Patents were not included in the past and can only be added manually at present

If you want content not found in the WRPD to display on your publications list page, please contact the Library and we will make every effort to add it.  In such cases, there is a danger of duplication, so after content is added manually, the author should be aware that it is possible that duplicates may accidently get through and should be reported to the Library as soon as possible.

The full database can be searched via Primo OneSearch, the Weizmann Library discovery tool, with a special search of Weizmann Open Access publications via the collection dropdown on the right side of the search box.
