What is Lean Library and How Can I Use It?
Answer
Lean Library is a browser extension that works with the Weizmann Library to identify library-subscribed e-resources from wherever you prefer to search.
When you search Google, Google Scholar, databases, a publisher's site, or almost any existing website and hit a paywall for an article or eBook, the Lean Library extension will look for a subscribed alternative of full-text access.
The Weizmann Library can also send you important access messages via this extension.

- Highlight and Search! You can highlight any word from any webpage you visit and right-click it, and Lean Library will offer you the ability to search for this word directly in our library collections, Google Scholar, or PubMed.
- Highlight and Order! When you read online, you might find an interesting citation to an article you'd like to read. You can highlight it, right-click it, and order it from the WIS Library using the Lean Library menu.
- Wikipedia Integration! If you're searching for a Weizmann scientist on Wikipedia, his/her name will be automatically highlighted, and clicking it will take you directly to his/her WIS Works profile.
